The Illinois Administrative Rules now allow the use of automated vision screening devices to conduct vision screening in children:

• Under three years of age
• Older children who cannot be screened with stereoscopic or distance tests.

The Spot Screener is one of the allowed screening devices and its use will be demonstrated by Maryellen O’Keefe-Smith from School Health Corporation at this session.
