Description:
As a member of educational teams, assist in evaluation and planning programs for students in LADSE member school districts and multi-district programs. Assess student’s health needs, develop and implement nursing care plans and emergency medical plans, and maintain medical records. May administer nursing care to ill, injured or disabled students. Consult with families and medical professionals to coordinate student care. Provide consultation services and professional development for nurses, educational staff and families. Consult with community agencies and institutions relevant to the profession of nursing. Duties are to be performed in accordance with standards of professional school nurse practice, Illinois State Law regarding nurse practice and Illinois State Board of Education policies and procedures.

Terms:
1 day per week (0.2 FTE)
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License endorsed for School Nurse. Registered Nurse, licensed in Illinois. Master’s degree from an accredited university preferred. Licensed vision and hearing technician in Illinois. Pediatric and school experience required.
