As stated in the school code, If the position requires certification, the employee who is a “holder of such an endorsement is entitled to all of the rights and privileges granted holders of any other Professional Educator License, including teacher benefits, compensation, and working conditions.” If a certified school RN is hired for a position that required or preferred certification, the RN is entitled to placement on the teacher contract.

Rich Township High School District 227, East Campus in Park Forest and South Campus in Richton Park has an opening for an PEL-CSN for the 2018-2019 school year.

Either a RN who holds an ISBE issued Professional Educator License (PEL) endorsed as school nurse (preferred); or
a RN who holds or obtains the designation for Individualized Education Program (IEP) privileges by a non-PEL Registered Nurse and who holds at least a bachelor’s degree in nursing, education, or a related field and is able and willing to obtain PEL endorsed as school nurse as soon as possible.
